Internet Email Gateway 3.0

New Features

Automatic
Attachment Handling
Attachments can be automatically clipped, decoded and saved on your Windows 95/98/NT system before transferring the mail message to the Multivalue host. Or you can simply strip them and delete them. Each clipped attachment can be stored in a subfolder (directory) for each user or all attachments can be kept in the same folder. Clipping is by type, so images can be clipped but HTML can be passed through, its up to you.

A single line message is placed in the email where the attachment was explaining where it now resides, such as:

<< Attachment Saved as C:\attachments\fred\wedding.jpg >>
100% Telnet Compatibility Some Telnet servers could not be used in release 2.1. Now all telnet servers are supported. This eliminates the need for a serial cable back to the Multivalue host.
Rotating Logs The error logs and debug logs now can be set with a maximum size. This way you can leave the debug log turned on and new messages will rotate out old messages. Now you will be able to know exactly what the email gateway is doing by looking at the last line of the debug log file.
Automatic Date Handling If you do not provide a legal Internet "Date:" field, the gateway will create one for you.
