Common Uses |
| Automatic Email Confirmations |
Generate automatic email confirmations for your customers directly from your Pick based
application. Some systems have ticket numbers, shipping numbers and order confirmations. Add value
to your company by adding this new service.
|
| Mass Emailings |
Manage Internet mailing lists from your Pick database. Regulary send out press releases,
product updates and information to your customer base that have email addresses. |
| Automatic Pick to Pick Transfers |
Use the Internet to pass data back and forth between Pick sites using email. It
could be useful to synchronize sites. Think of it as T-DUMP inside email. |
| Pick Data On The Web |
Upload Pick data to a web database using our Web Database
Hosting service. Allow your customers to surf over and look up data on your web site. Save phone calls. This method
does not require the Pick host to be connected to the Internet all the time. Just periodically
send an email full of new data for the web database. Some companies have delivery and tracking
information that customers keep calling about. Why not put it up on the web! |
| Email for Dumb Terminals |
Use dumb terminals to compose and read Internet email. Weaver Consulting's Email-FOR-Pick version 5.0
and higher has been certified with our Email Gateway. Communicate with PC and LAN users via Email. |
| Email to Fax Conversion |
Pathfinders Software provides a fax gateway that allows you to send an email that is converted
to a fax and sent across normal phone lines to a fax machine. This service is billed by long distance phone rates.
It can be used with web pages as well. Simply have a customer fill out a web order form and when he clicks the
submit button a fax is sent directly to your office.

| Email to Pager |
Most paging networks have email and web interfaces for alphanumeric pagers.
We use this service to have our computers monitor each other. If one goes down the other pages our technical staff by sending
an email with the problem detected. Some companies even page the staff when the printer runs out of paper using this method.
